Students with Special Needs

The Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing is committed to policies and practices that do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or disability. MSWSPN recognizes the rights, abilities, and needs of a person with a disability and strives to provide equal opportunity for those whose disability does not interfere with attainment of program objectives. Although the nursing program does not have any specialized programs of study for special populations, the organization believes that the needs of each disabled person are individual and unique. Therefore, services are provided on an individual basis.

Finger Lakes Community College operates off-campus Centers in Geneva and Newark where a full range of college courses, in addition to most student and academic support services, are offered. Students attending the off-campus Centers may speak with the Student Services Counselor to arrange for specific services at (585) 394-3500, ext. 297.
