Huntington Living Center Residents Jumping on the Zumba Trend
Finger Lakes Health’s Huntington Living Center’s residents are jumping on board the Zumba fitness trend… and they’re loving it.

Zumba is the Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends music and contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive. Huntington Living Center residents are taking part in “Zumba Gold,” a Zumba program that is just as fun, but is not as fast. This program was designed for the older active adult, a person who hasn't been exercising in a long time, or individuals who may be limited physically.

During the living center’s first session, Seneca Falls resident Nicole Elmazi and Zumba instructor really energized the residents. “She got that room going like I’ve never seen before,” said Assistant Administrator Debbie Lockett.

Lockett plans to offer the program to residents on a weekly basis.
