Living Center Residents Enjoy Special Holiday Event
WATERLOO-Residents at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo enjoyed a special evening of decorating miniature Christmas trees and Christmas Caroling on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.

Dr. Philipp Wirth, of FLH Medical, P.C. and his family, wife Daniele and children, Harrison age 3 and Ella age 6 were part of a group of local community members who organized a Christmas tree decorating event for the residents at Huntington.

For the second year in a row, The Wirth’s along with their friends, the Sinicropi’s, Verkey’s and Korzeniewski’s have delivered over 160 decorated trees to Huntington for the residents to enjoy. The group of friends hosted a party two weeks ago to decorate the trees together. This year, Dr. Wirth suggested to Danielle, that it would be very special if they delivered some of the trees undecorated to the residents and were able to enjoy decorating the trees with them.

The Wirth family along with Jim and Kathleen Sinicropi and their daughter Jackie, age 6, decorated over 40 trees with residents. Daniele said “it is important to get our children involved with charity activities over the holidays so they can learn the true meaning of the holidays”.

In addition to the tree decorating, members of the Torrey's Kids Club were caroling for the residents.
