Living Center Residents Celebrate Spirit of Christmas
December 27, 2011 WATERLOO-Huntington Living Center residents and staff made Christmas a little more enjoyable for three families in need in our communities.

The residents of Huntington sponsored a fund raising event to raise funds for the purchase of toys for the children of the three families -ages ranging 3 months to 16 years of age for a total of 11 children. Residents went shopping at Wal-mart for the toys and gathered together to wrap each gift.

The staff from all departments at Huntington donated gifts of clothing, boots, hats, gloves, toys and gift cards for all. Each family also received a large basket of food donations.

Huntington Living Center is a 160-bed skilled nursing facility with a reputation for outstanding medical, nursing, and rehabilitative care. The newly-renovated facility, located at 369 East Main Street, Waterloo consists of 4, 40-bed units located on 3 floors. The Special Needs Unit specializes in the care of those with Alzheimer's and other dementia related diseases.
