Baked Apples in Phyllo

Ingredients 4 Apples, peeled and cored, medium size
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey (or 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar substitute)
½ cup lowfat granola cereal
2 Tbsp. finely chopped walnuts
4 sheets phyllo dough
2 tsp. soft-tub margarine (veg oil spread)
non-stick cooking spray (butter flavored)
Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, low fat granola, walnuts and set aside

3. Trim bottom of each apple to sit flat.

4. Take 1 phyllo sheet and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Place apple in center. Stuff apple with 1 ½ Tbsp. of granola mixture and top with ½ tsp. Margarine. Wrap apple with phyllo dough and spray again with non-stick cooking spray. Repeat with remaining apples.

5. Place in baking pan and bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
