Grilled Maple-glazed Salmon

Grilled Maple-glazed Salmon

7 minutes or more depending on size of fillets

Ingredients 4 3 ounce salmon fillets
┬╝ cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1 clove garlic, finely minced
Black pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. chopped walnuts, toasted
Non-stick grilling spray

Instructions Makes 4 servings

1. Combine maple syrup, soy sauce, ginger, oil, juice, garlic and pepper. Pour over salmon and marinate for 15 minutes, covered, in the refrigerator.

2. Place fish on grill sprayed with non-stick coating. Baste periodically with marinade during cooking.

3. Grill about 7 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.

4. Garnish each fillet with chopped walnuts.

Note: Discard any marinade used with raw fish. Do not use on cooked fish.

Rule of thumb for fish: Cook 10 minutes for every inch of thickness.
