Geneva General Hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Diagnostic Service Installs Siemens’ Symbia Evo™
Geneva, NY- Physicians at Geneva General Hospital can now offer advanced, noninvasive Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging services with the new Symbia Evo by Siemens. Its innovative technology is designed to expand capabilities and improve productivity while enabling the quantification of molecular processes in the body and allowing for lower radiation exposure.

Symbia Evo provides accurate and reproducible quantification in SPECT imaging by ensuring optimization of each element of the imaging chain, which offers many benefits to physicians and their patients. Siemens Evo boosts user productivity and improves workflow efficiencies allowing for more personalized studies and the ability to serve additional patients. This allows for a more accurate assessment of treatment response, facilitating clinical decision-making and potentially minimizing the need for costly follow-up exams.

To address the needs of improving patient safety and increasing efficiency, Symbia Evo allows for minimal radiation dose exposure while imaging patients faster than ever before. The system also offers exceptional patient comfort with an open design that may help patients feel more comfortable.

“We are thrilled to bring the Symbia Evo system to Geneva General Hospital to advance our SPECT capabilities,” said Jeff Fultz, director of diagnostics. “Not only will it enhance our workflow, we anticipate that it will enable us to increase the number of patients who can take advantage of these valuable imaging services.”
