Finger Lakes Health Elects Board Members
Finger Lakes Health’s Board of Directors has elected three new Board members, as well as welcoming two health system physicians to the Board: Dr. Kylene Abraham, Chevanne DeVaney, and Dr. Tom Thompson were elected to the Board, and Dr. Robert Anderson and Dr. Rodolfo Queiroz joined the Board as medical staff leaders at each of Finger Lakes Health’s two hospitals.

Kylene Abraham, DNP, APRN, RNC-OB, is assistant professor of nursing at Wegman’s School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Dr. Abraham previously worked at Finger Lakes Health as an instructor at the Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing and as a nurse and clinical leader on multiple units at Geneva General Hospital. She won the 2016 International award for best presentation at the 35th annual International Nursing & Midwifery Research and Education Conference in Dublin, Ireland in 2016.

A resident of Bellona, she earned her practical nursing degree from the Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing at Geneva General Hospital; her AAS in nursing from Finger Lakes Community College, Canandaigua; her BS in nursing from Nazareth College, Rochester, and her MS in nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from St. John Fisher College, Rochester.
Chevanne (Chevy) DeVaney is associate director of annual giving at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Geneva. She previously worked as director of multicultural affairs at Keuka College, Keuka Park. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Hobart & William Smith Colleges and her Master of Education, Ed.M., from the State University of New York at Buffalo. A resident of Geneva, she received the Young Alumna Award from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2005; and the NAACP Community Service Award in 2008. She is a board member for Geneva’s Local Development Corporation and serves as secretary of the Wyckoff Family Foundation. She also is a member of the Geneva Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, and volunteers with the City of Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center.

Thomas Thompson, M.D. is a radiologist and interventional radiologist, with board certification by the American Board of Radiology. He was the founding partner of Finger Lakes Radiology, which provides radiology services at both Geneva General and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial hospitals. He also has been a managing member of Bottomless Brewing since May 2016. Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree and PhD at the University of Rochester. He completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. A resident of Geneva, he is a board member at the Smith Opera House. He also belongs to the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology and the Radiological Society of North America.

Robert Anderson, M.D. and Rodolfo Queiroz, M.D. have joined the health system board as president of the medical staff at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan and chief of the medical staff at Geneva General Hospital, respectively.

Dr. Anderson of Penn Yan is a family medicine physician at FLH Medical, P.C. - Pre-Emption Family Medicine in Penn Yan. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, and completed the Rural Medical Education Program in Canandaigua and Rushville. He did his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse.

Dr. Queiroz is a radiologist and interventional radiologist with Finger Lakes Radiology, of which he is the managing partner. He completed his medical education at the Medical School of Vassouras in Brazil. Dr. Queiroz completed an Internal Medicine internship at Nassau County Medical Center and did his residency in radiology at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, where he served as chief resident. He also completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He served as chair of Radiology at Geneva General Hospital from 2009 to 2016 and is currently the Chief of Staff. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in vascular and interventional radiology.
