Colorectal Surgery

Colorectal surgery refers to the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the bowel such as Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, trauma, congenital lesions, and tumors involving the GI tractcollins web —specifically colon, rectal, and anal cancers.

Finger Lakes Health is proud to have the region’s only board-certified colorectal surgeon, Craig Collins, M.D., FACS,FASCRS  performing colorectal surgery at Geneva General Hospital. Dr. Collins is committed to caring for patients in our community eliminating the need to travel outside of the region for safe, quality colorectal surgical care. Dr. Collins is Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons.

Conditions treated include:

Procedures performed include anoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colon resections, colonoscopies, InterStim® Therapy (sacral neuromodulation) for patients suffering with fecal incontinence and many office-based treatments. Patients can schedule an appointment with Dr. Collins by calling (315) 787-5383.
