Geneva General Hospital (GGH), founded in 1898, is a 132-bed general acute care hospital providing both primary care and a full range of secondary level services. Geneva General Hospital operates 10-bed intensive care unit, and a 16-bed telemetry unit as well as six pediatric beds. Our skilled nurses have specialty certifications to work in these areas. Pediatric nurses are certified in pediatric advanced life support ICU and telemetry nurses are certified in advanced critical life support.

A full range of Diagnostics are available at GGH including spiral CT scanning, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cardiovascular diagnostics and complete gastroenterology service. The 14-bed Family Birth Center features single room labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care. The 10-bed Chemical Dependency Detoxification Center is the only one of its kind in the region between Buffalo and Syracuse. The chemical dependency/detoxification unit offers a safe place for a medically-supervised withdrawal period from alcohol and other drugs in a program based on the belief that chemically-dependent people can be successfully treated. Geneva General Hospital's 13-station outpatient renal Dialysis Center and inpatient acute treatment center services residents from a four-county area in the Finger Lakes. The hospital also operates a regional Acute Physical Rehabilitation Center, an in-patient, 15-bed unit located next to the Garnsey Rehabilitation Center. Comprehensive physical rehabilitation services are provided for patients with rehabilitation diagnoses such as stroke, closed head injury, hip fractures and replacements, orthopedic disorders, multiple sclerosis, cancer, multiple trauma, and other debilitating conditions.
