Geneva- Geneva General Hospital’s Women’s Health Services has been designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®), a recognition awarded to facilities that demonstrate excellence in breast imaging.
This designation reflects accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound, including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and MRI. Facilities must meet rigorous standards in image quality, staff qualifications, equipment, quality control, and safety protocols.
“We are thrilled that this announcement coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time that highlights the importance of early detection and access to advanced screening technologies, said Lisa Davis, RT, Supervisor of Women’s Health Services. “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of our entire team. I couldn’t be prouder of their commitment to delivering exceptional breast health care.”
The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities that meet specific criteria outlined in ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards.
