GENEVA- UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health proudly congratulates the latest graduates of its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program: Sarah Dunham; Katelyn Gary; Amanda Hathway; Talitha Habecker; Alicia Novegil Martinez;  Josie Noone; Marissa Russell; Mandie Shelhart, and Danasia Watson. 

UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health offers a paid CNA Training Program, approved by the New York State Department of Health.  The program includes 138 hours of classroom, lab, and clinical instruction, delivered Monday through Friday over the course of four weeks. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the state certification exams.

CNAs often use this program as a steppingstone to advance their healthcare careers. Many continue their education, becoming licensed practical nurses (LPNs) or registered nurses (RNs).

Employment opportunities are currently available at the Geneva Living Centers, The Homestead in Penn Yan, Huntington Living Center in Waterloo as well as many other long-term care facilities.

To support new CNAs, UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is offering a $2,000 hiring bonus. Transportation assistance for those training in Geneva and working at The Homestead in Penn Yan ($125/week) and Huntington Living Center in Waterloo ($75/week).
