Patients who have experienced a stroke, serious injury, joint repair or replacement, amputation, or have a brain, nervous system, or muscular disorder may benefit from rehabilitation.

We provide rehabilitation services for many stages/levels of patient needs:
Acute Care
Assessment and treatment of acute inpatients to assist with discharge planning.
Acute Physical Rehabilitation Our 15-bed unit accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities was established in 1997 at Geneva General Hospital. Our mission is to provide functionally oriented programs which value interdisciplinary teamwork to help patients achieve their fullest potential for return to an independent lifestyle.
The inpatient program serves individuals 18 years or older who have experienced a disabling injury, illness or surgery. Diagnosis and rehab problems may include stroke, amputation, hip fractures and neurologic conditions.
The Acute Rehabilitation Unit resides on the ground floor of Geneva General Hospital with its own entrance, and includes a therapy area conveniently located next to our nursing unit.

Driver Rehabilitation Driver Rehabilitation is offered on an outpatient basis for people whose disabilities have created a difficulty or concern about driving. Disabilities such as arthritis, amputation, dementia, stroke and brain injuries are examples that may impact driving. This service is offered at Geneva General Hospital.
