Vascular Surgery

Finger Lakes Health offers comprehensive care for cardiovascular disease, including diagnosis, medical management and treatment. Treatment plans may include medication, lifestyle changes, or surgical approaches including both conventional and minimally-invasive methods.

When possible, surgeons employ minimally-invasive methods that encourage quicker patient recovery, less blood loss and reduced chance of infection. They are generally performed through a small nick in the skin, using small tubes (catheters), guide-wires and mild sedation. Some of these include:

  • Angioplasty and stenting
  • Stent-grafting
  • Thrombolysis
  • Embolization

Whether addressing vascular, peripheral vascular or venous diseases, Finger Lakes Health offers complete patient support programs. A range of staff help patients with everything from specialized rehabilitation to designing exercise and nutrition plans. Our primary goal is helping patients lead healthy, happy lives.
