Geneva General Hospital Accepting Applications for 2013 Summer Junior Volunteer Program
Geneva General Hospital is accepting applications for students, ages 14-17, to participate in our Summer Junior Volunteer Program. Junior Volunteer responsibilities may include providing clerical assistance in medical office areas, running errands throughout the health system, participating in activities and one-on-one sessions in our Living Centers, being a staff helper on a medical floor, or being an assistant in our Child Care Center. Deadline for applications is May 24, 2013.

Junior Volunteers are chosen based on an application process, and then volunteer assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. We will make every effort to find a position that fits the student. Junior Volunteers will be asked to attend a mandatory orientation session in June, and then serve at least 25 hours between July 8 and August 23.

Volunteering can be personally rewarding, and it helps students make career and educational choices that may guide their lives. In addition, documentation of the volunteer hours adds credibility to college and job applications.

To obtain a Summer Junior Volunteer application, or for more information, contact Christen Smith at (315) 787-4065 or christen.smith@flhealth.org.
