An estimated 2.2 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. As someone diagnosed with Afib, it’s important to understand not only the condition but also the risks associated with it, like Afib-related stroke.

If you have Afib not caused by a heart valve problem and are interested in learning more about the condition, the connection between Afib and stroke, and options available to manage your stroke risk, this educational session is for you. You will learn about treatment options that can help reduce the risk of Afib-related strokes, including drug and device therapies.

Dr. Depta, a Board-Certified Cardiologist with Rochester Regional Health, and Dr. Gomez, Board-Certified Cardiologist with Finger Lakes Health, will partner on this presentation.

The program is being co-sponsored by Finger Lakes Health and Boston Scientific, developer of the WATCHMAN™ left atrial appendage closure device. The implantable device is designed to close the left atrial appendage in the heart in an effort to reduce the risk of stroke.

Reserve your seat today by registering and paying online at or calling (315) 787-4636 or (315) 531-2053.
