Taylor Brown Auxiliary Golf Tournament Raises Over $13,000 to Benefit Residents of Huntington Living Center
October 27, 2025
(WATERLOO, NY) — The Taylor Brown Auxiliary’s Golf Tournament Fundraiser raised more than $13,000 to directly support resident-centered programs and facility enhancements for the residents of Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, NY.
This year’s tournament, held on September 12 at Seneca Falls Country Club, brought together 48 enthusiastic participants and four generous sponsors, and marked a return to in-person fundraising following a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, making the day’s success even more meaningful. Participants included vendors, employees, friends and family members connected to Huntington Living Center, all sharing a day of fun, community, and giving.
The event was supported by four major sponsors:
· Valvtech
· Health Direct Pharmacy
· Nelco, an Ecolab Company
· Alzheimer’s Association
Each sponsor contributed between $1,000 and $4,000, helping ensure the event’s success and strengthening community partnerships. In addition, local businesses donated a variety of gift baskets, which were raffled off to participants throughout the day, adding excitement and local flavor to the event.
Guest speakers included Linda Quackenbush, President of the Taylor Brown Auxiliary, and Penny Gugino from the Alzheimer’s Association, who both shared inspiring messages about the power of community support and the ongoing mission to improve quality of life for seniors.
Funds raised through this event support the Taylor Brown Auxiliary’s ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of Huntington Living Center residents. The Auxiliary has previously funded numerous activities, purchased a new activity bus in 2025, and hosted beloved resident events such as family picnics and the Festival of Stars each December. They also help decorate the facility for each season and will serve as
the majority funder of the Huntington Courtyard Remodel Project. Plans are already underway for next year’s event, which promises to continue building on this momentum of community spirit and support.

David Lockett, Shari Harding and Joe and Jackie McCann head out to play in Taylor Brown Auxiliary’s revived annual Golf Tournament in memory of family member Debbie Lockett, who was the organizer of the tournament for many years. The tournament on September 12 raised more than $13,000 for resident activities and facility enhancements at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo.
