Feeling like family
Patricia Hinkley, a self-employed landscaper for 25 years, was having a difficult time completing her workday. “The pain was so excruciating that I could not even drive and I had to stop to ice my knee in between each job,” said Patricia.
When the pain became intolerable, Patricia went to see a joint replacement specialist at Interlakes Orthopaedic Surgery
After trying several non-surgical treatments, it was determined that she would need a total knee replacement.
She had her surgery at Geneva General Hospital. “The staff was fantastic and the private rooms were very comfortable and I think that helped accelerate my recovery. I also liked the group therapy sessions because they were very educational and easier to do sitting next to other people going through the same thing,” stated Patricia.
Now that Patricia has full range of motion back in her knee, she is able to get back to full days of landscaping for her customers.
