Join Dr. James Mark, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon from Interlakes Orthopaedic Surgery (IOS), to learn about “Evaluation and Treatment Plans for Osteoarthritis of the Knee” on Wednesday, October 30 at 5:30 p.m. The presentation will be held at the New York Kitchen, 800 South Main Street, Canandaigua.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis in the knee. It is a degenerative, “wear-and-tear” type of arthritis that occurs most often in people 50 years of age and older, but may occur in younger people, as well.

Dr. Mark will discuss:

  • New Technologies for Accelerated Postoperative Rehabilitation

Dr. Mark is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During a 10-yearperiod of active duty in the United States Navy, Dr. Mark completed a surgical internship, 3 years as a Flight Surgeon attached to Carrier Air Wing7, 4 years of residency training in Orthopaedics at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia and 2 years as a staff Orthopaedic Surgeon at Submarine Base, Groton, Connecticut. Dr. Mark completed his military service by retiring from the United States Naval Reserves after a combined service of 21 years.

Dr. Mark is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons with a certification subspecialty in Sports Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
