Finger Lakes Health has announced the appointment of Audrey Torio, BSN, RN as director of nursing at Huntington Living Center, 369 East Main Street, Waterloo.

Torio has over 17 years of progressive nursing leadership experience within the long term care community in Central New York. She has experience in various settings with a concentration in geriatrics including skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation and managed long term care. Torio also has a background in acute hospital care and oncology and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Elmira College, Elmira, NY.

Karol Prayne, Huntington Living Center Administrator comments “Audrey brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with her and will be instrumental in assisting us through the challenges and changes that are forecasted for long term care and the nursing home industry through 2021 and beyond. Her upbeat and jovial personality is refreshing and contagious and has been a source of support and guidance over these last few months. “

Prior to joining Finger Lakes Health, Torio was the Director of Nursing/ Director of Clinical Services at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation in Syracuse, NY, where she oversaw one of the largest facilities in the Syracuse are consisting of a 500 bed facility that houses skilled nursing as well as post-acute care needs.

Torio lives in Baldwinsville NY with her Husband Nicholas as well as three children Elise, Max and Logan in addition to the family dog Clover. She cherishes the time spent with her family.
