June 2, 2026
(Geneva, NY) It’s time to dust off those clubs and get ready to make every swing this summer count! The 108 Holes for Health Golf Challenge is back. Golfers of all ages and skill levels are invited to take part in this season-long, play-anywhere challenge benefiting University of Rochester Medicine Finger Lakes Health. Whether you're a weekend hacker, a mini-golf champ, or a serious golfer chasing your personal best, you can turn your summer rounds into something truly meaningful.
This year’s event is focused on raising funds for needs at Finger Lakes Health’s hospitals:
· A new PET/CT scanner for Geneva General Hospital, helping detect cancer and other serious conditions faster and more accurately
· New patient beds for Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, improving comfort, safety, and care for patients in Penn Yan
Every round played helps move this essential equipment closer to reality. How the 108 Holes for Health Golf Challenge works: · Sign up for just $10 at https://www.flhealth.org/make-a-donation.
· Get a tag to put on your cart or golf bag all summer long to let fellow golfers know you’re golfing for good!
· Play 108 holes (6 rounds) anytime between June 15 and September 15
· Submit your scorecards (the actual score isn’t important!)
· Get entered to win great prizes, including a $500 Wegmans gift card
Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan is a host course for this year’s Challenge. “Any excuse to play more golf is a good one,” says Lakeside’s pro and Western New York PGA of America
President Bob King, “But when it also helps our local hospitals, it’s a no-brainer. We’re excited to see golfers rack up their rounds throughout the summer and make a real impact while they’re at it.”
Even the youngest participants can join in. Mini-Golf counts! Seneca Resorts’ Putt & Play in Romulus returns as the official 108 Holes for Health Mini-Golf sponsor for this year’s challenge.
“Whether you’re golfing with friends, teaching your kids the game, or just soaking up our beautiful Finger Lakes summer, this is a simple way to make a real difference,” says Mary Sue Dehn, Finger Lakes Health Foundation’s Director of Development. “We are grateful to the Kinney Drugs Foundation, our Leaderboard Sponsor, along with CNB, Wegmans, IBC Engineering and other community sponsors for helping local golfers turn each round into something bigger and supporting the advanced technology and patient care our community deserves and depends on.”
Sponsorships are still available! Opportunities begin at just $100 with great visibility throughout the summer
