Julia Pilat, PMHNP Joins UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health

GENEVA- Ms. Julia Pilat, FNP, PMHNP, has joined the medical staff of UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatric medication management.

Ms. Pilat earned her RN, Family Nurse Practitioner and Post-Masters Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from St. John Fisher University, Rochester, New York.  She is board certified by both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Ms. Pilat’s previous experience includes working as an FNP at the University of Rochester’s Outpatient Wound Healing Center and time as an RN in the operating room and labor and delivery at Unity Hospital at Park Ridge.

Ms. Pilat is a military veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. She currently volunteers with Team Rubicon, USA, a military veteran disaster relief organization, and Keeping Our Promise, which supports resettlement of Iraqi and Afghan refugees in the Rochester, NY area. 

Early in her career, Ms. Pilat worked as a high school social studies teacher. In her free time, she can be found gardening, traveling, or spending time with her two rescue dogs, Gus and Lady Coconut.
