Julianna Tyler, PT, OCS Earns Recertification as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Geneva, NY — University of Rochester Medicine Finger Lakes Health is proud to announce that Julianna Tyler, PT, OCS, Physical Therapist and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, has successfully earned recertification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), reinforcing her advanced expertise and continued commitment to delivering exceptional orthopedic care.
The Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) credential is awarded through the orthopedic specialty area of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Orthopedics is one of eight recognized specialty areas within physical therapy and recognizes advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and dedication to evidence-based patient care.
To qualify for board certification, physical therapists must hold an active physical therapy license, complete at least 2,000 hours of direct patient care in orthopedic physical therapy, and meet continuing education requirements.
Tyler originally earned her OCS certification in 2014 after successfully completing the board certification examination process. To maintain this distinction for another 10 years, she completed an extensive professional portfolio and case study requirements and successfully passed the recertification examination.
