GENEVA- Finger Lakes Health Primary Care is proud to announce that two long-time and highly respected Geneva physicians, Dr. Arthur Equinozzi and Dr. William Platzer, have reunited and are now seeing patients together in a new Geneva office, in the Medical Office Building, adjacent to Geneva General Hospital.

“I’m looking forward to being back in Geneva, and continuing to see patients in Penn Yan,” said Dr. Equinozzi. “I’ve been practicing medicine in the Finger Lakes for over 25 years and am committed to helping them live their healthiest lives. I also am thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Platzer again.”

Internist Dr. Platzer, who joined Finger Lakes Health Primary Care a year ago and also has spent much of his career in Geneva, agrees. “Maintaining longstanding relationships with our patients is important, and having the opportunity to continue working closely with trusted colleagues makes it even more meaningful.

Drs. Equinozzi and Platzer are joined by a dedicated team, including three more familiar faces in the community: Physician Assistants Greg Fix and Stephanie Husnay, and Nurse Practitioner Amanda Briggs.

Fix has been caring for patients at Finger Lakes Health Primary Care for more than a year and previously worked for a decade alongside Drs. Equinozzi and Platzer. He brings 15 years of experience serving the Geneva community and earned his Master of Physician Assistant Science at Gannon University in Erie, Pa., and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Husnay, who is moving from Geneva Primary Care, received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from St. Bonaventure University, Olean, NY, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utica University, Utica, NY.

Briggs began her healthcare career at the Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing in Geneva. Her commitment to the community also runs deep, with previous roles at Geneva Primary Care and Seneca Family Health. She earned her Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner Studies from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, N.Y., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Ill.

To better serve patients and support the growing practice Finger Lakes Health Primary Care will be relocating to Suite 201A in the Medical Office Building at Geneva General Hospital, effective May 4, 2026. The new location will expand access to care while maintaining the high-quality services patients expect.
