Jenning Boateng, M.D., MSc, MSF, MBA, CECFMG, CPHQ, CPHRM & LSSBB was recently named Director of Performance Improvement for Finger Lakes Health.

In the position, Boateng is responsible for the direction, coordination and oversight of the health system’s quality, performance improvement, infection prevention and patient safety programs and initiatives. He also collaborates with managers and staff to ensure Joint Commission survey readiness and related regulatory/accreditation compliance.

He most recently served as Director of Patient Safety, Quality, Patient Experience, Infection Control, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Regulatory and Accreditation, Risk Management and Performance Improvement at Prime Healthcare Services in Bristol, PA.

Boateng holds numerous degrees including:

  • Master of Science, Finance (MSF) & Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University, D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Boston, MA
  • Master of Science (M.S.) Clinical Research Organization and Management from Drexel University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA and
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Vinnitsa National Medical University, Vinnitsa, Ukraine

His certifications include:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
  • Certified Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates

Boateng lives in Vermont with his wife, Vivian, 2 Children (Janelle and Yeshua) and mother-in-law, Diana. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, prayer and meditation, teaching Sunday School, playing volleyball, camping, exploring new cultures and traveling internationally.
