About Me

Dr. Alvermann is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the treatment of shoulder and knee conditions. She cares for athletes and active individuals of all ages and treats a wide range of sports-related, traumatic, and degenerative conditions.
Her clinical interests include ACL and other knee ligament injuries, meniscus and cartilage injuries, and patellofemoral instability, as well as the full spectrum of shoulder conditions, from instability and rotator cuff tears to shoulder arthritis. She specializes in arthroscopic, minimally invasive, and joint-preserving surgical techniques and performs both anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement.
Outside of work, Dr. Alvermann enjoys running, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her family and golden retriever, Lena. Originally from Michigan, she remains a lifelong University of Michigan sports fan.
